Post Which pads standard discs Brembo Calipers?

Hi I am having some Discs and Pads fitted in a week so need to order them! the question is which ones..

I have Brembro all round, I think I may get standard discs (non grooved) from AS Performance but as for pads im wondering if I should upgrade from their standard £50 a set pads.. Don't want to spend loads but think It may be worth spending a bit extra?

I only drive to work and back and hardly use the car/brakes nowadays but don't want real rubbish pads that would fade if I ever did give it some stick.

Im getting front and rear, any opinions appreciated as I need to make a decision asap! i.e. Mintex 1144, just seen posts about these RC5+ etc.

thanks

Leon

Why not ask Alyn?
You are already buying from him, and he gives free good advice anyway....

Ask alyn about the performance friction z rated pads. Theyre top notch!

They have good bite from cold, but handle track abuse with no complaints or issues when hot.

They last really REALLY well too so they make buying OE pads a false economy in my eyes.

Alyn only offers the cheap £50 for entire set of pads or the next step up is £220 for the Brembro Sport, he said he does not recommend the Kevlar pads.

I currently have DS2500 on the front and I think Mintex 1144 on the rear.. Just trying to keep costs down really and wondered how the cheap pads performed.

"keeping the costs down" isn't something I have in mind when doing brakes, sorry.

We have hundreds of customers running our Kevlar pads to very good effect , there are different ones available , the German made ones we offer are better than the comline ones which we have stopped selling now , the German ones are very good when used in the right application , as in normal road use with some spirited driving thrown in . They are not suitable for the hard drivers or those doing track days
