New brake pads bedding in procedure please !
Hi guys.
Yesterday I've fitted new front pads - Carbone Lorraine RC5+
Done less than 15 miles on them so far. Problem is that on Monday I'm going to my first track day (Bedford) and was wondering if there is any quicker method to bed them in as I've heard bedding needs at least 100 miles. I'm afraid I'll have no time for this as have few more things to do on the car before.
Any advice ?
Thank You

Normal pads procedure is fairly brutal a series say 5 or 6 of hard as you can stops from 60 down to 30 without coming to a full stop or riding on the brakes in between (to let them cool down fully), followed by a similar series from say 80 to 30 and then drive to let them col, fully. Should be done by then. All about the heat cycling
Just normal road driving wont break the surfaces in properly

The funny thing is that everyone raved about them when they were given free try out pads a while back.
I have used a couple of sets and the lack of performance during recommended breaking in procedure was just plain dangerous, but there was little or no mention of this.
It does make me wonder.
