Default Stock sti Brembo/ABS question

Hi guys,

I've been getting a weird experience from my Bug sti stock brakes lately.

About 700 miles ago I fitted new braided lines, disks and pads allround, blended them in correctly (300 miles of gentle driving).

Just after these upgrades I noticed that the ABS pump works when you crawl up to a red traffic light just lightly touching the pedal.

Plus I tried some harsh braking and the ABS light went on two times.

P.S. Braking feel and modulation is better than on previous setup (stock disks and stock dead pads) All brake cylinders seem work well.

What the heck could it be?

Hi there

You will need someone who have SSM(Subaru Select Monitor),only this can read ABS errors or you can plug connectors under dash

But I would say from my experience this can be one of the 4 ABS sensors, which one, this only will tell you SSM

Thank you!

I'll give it a try to fix it (maybe checking the sensors feedback), if that does not work I'll drop you a line since I live not that far and could come in for an appointment

Hi there

Yes you can check the ABS sensors with multimeter and yo will see if this can resolve yours issue

I would try clean the ABS sensors as first, check the wheel hubs if they're not damaged or try clean them,in our case we have previously damaged one hub
