Brake rotor size tolerances
outback h63.0 2002.
Last year I changed my rear brake discs with parts ordered against my reg from Eurocarparts
My new discs were the same size as the ones I removed, I have driven with it for 6 months problem free.
A local garage MOT'd my car about 6 weeks ago and it passed first time. This week whilst in for a problem with the front caliper they inform me that my rear brake discs are an incorrect size and so need changing.
Is this the garage saying that the aftermarket parts vary in size by a mm or 2 to Subaru OEM, or do the eurocarparts of the world get mistakes in the catloguing?
Are those 2mm on a brake disc significant or is there a legal tolerance on diameter sizing.
Thanks, was a bit concerned as I am new to DIY mechanics and try to focus on getting everything correct even if its the long route.
