Default Puncture repair or not?

I have a puncture on a nearly new tyre at the rear, I have a remap coming up, so dont really want to spend another £350 on rear tyres if I dont have to.

Howver opinion seems divided on the issue of puncture repairs, some say it fine, others wont even consider it.

Anyone here had a puncture repair? Tyre is a Michelin Pilot Sport 3.

Thanks

Couple of years ago I had just the same thing happen!
New set of 4 Goodyears, when I picked up a nail! I had it fixed & didn't have any issues!

each to their own, but it would always be on my mind when putting my foot down. i had a full set fitted, only to find a screw through my front tyre after only 5 days on the car. its gutting to say the least, but as they were so new i only had to buy 1 more. for the sake of 180 squid i wouldnt want to risk my (or any passengers) safety.
