Default What wheels

I have a classic and just had it mapped, the car now needs the brembo calipers. I've got them fitted on the rear but now need the fronts doing, but I've been told I need different wheels. I would like to stick to 17's I just need to know what PCD I need to fit my hubs and what wheels will clear the bigger brakes.

Cheers

maybe more info would help.............

assuming you have a 1997 impreza it would have 100 pcd studs so any newage sti wheels will fit up to 2005 when they became 114 pcd

Yes it's a 1997 classic running around the 400's the current 4 pots just don't slow it down quick enough. I need to upgrade the brakes before I end up in a field. So I will keep my eye open for some newage 17's with 100 pcd

Its more complicated than just width and offset as its all about the profile of the spokes.

As Tommy said, sti 17x7.5 et53 fit brembos.

If you cant find these then rota gra's 7.5x17 et48.

The 7.5 lets you go to a 225/45

Or a cheaper option and a 7 so you can stay with 215/45 is an innovit redline. These clear but its tight.

... there are many more options, but each design/size, from each manufacturer needs checking, for example not all of rota's 7.5x17et48's fit over brembos.

you need to decide what your budget is and what wheel design you like then go from there.

Lol cheap as possible I've got about £10k in a car worth 3k so it's getting silly now, I wouldn't bother but the car really doesn't want to slow quick enough.
