Default Questions for Godspeed

I have the chance of getting hold of some 6 pot brembo's of a porsche cayenne, that can take upto 370mm disc ( to big for impreza so maybe stick to 330mm) with 18" alloy's

Wondering if it be possible to have bracket's made up for classic impreza.

Any experiance of them before on a scoob and how people would rate them against other brembo style calipers

Any thought's and ideals welcome. Just they are cheaper than newage STI brembo's!!

I tried to fit these calipers on a car a few years ago , can't remember what , but the lugs on them were quite long and we couldn't do it , the only way I would know if they can fit on an Impreza is to try them on a disc and try it on a hub assembly and see if there is a way a bracket would marry it all together
Cheers Ian

is that for just the 6 pot's.

Seen a few set's of 4 pot porsche calipers on ebay.

Most say there from the rear of the porsche. Can these be adapted with a bracket to the front of a classic impreza?.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Porsche-Bo...item19da5e1e6e

Or these off a evo for example. Mainly after a durable and exceptional fast road set up over the standard subaru 4 pot front's.

Many thanks for your help.

Hi
The rear Porsche calipers would be no good as being a rear caliper they have small pistons so not powerful enough to go on the front of a car.

The Evo calipers are 2mm out on the lug spacings , and you cannot move them about to fit a bracket in place to fit them on an Impreza , just not enough room.

We have done a few kits using radially mounted Porsche front calipers on Impreza's before , there are a few types of Porsche front calipers , but as long as they are fronts , and radially mounted I can do a bracket for them

Cheers Ian

Both are front trailing calipers, so won't need the cross-over pipe and bleed nipple swapping; as you would on a VAG conversion.

996 351 429
996 351 430
Are monoblocs - pistons 44/38mm.
142mm mounting distance.
32mm wide disc as standard.

996 351 425
996 351 426
Also monoblocs - pistons 40/36mm
130mm mounting distance.
28mm wide disc as standard.
330mm max disc diameter
Will go under 16" 300/310mm, with a cut down pad and a Godspeed bracket.

Standard Subaru 4 pot pistons are 38/38mm

Would he above fit the front of a classic with a bracket and required pads.

Im, running 17" P1 alloys so should be okay for fitment.

Have the chance of both the above set's of calipers in the future so enquiring witch is best or most suitable.

Thanks again for your help much appreciated

The outward curve/design of the wheel spokes makes the difference to potential disc diameter/caliper position. The 429/430 caliper is physically larger than the 425/426

I don't think Ian would know, for certain, without your specific wheel and a caliper, mocked up on one of his hubs.

The other consideration is whether a 40/36 or 44/38 piston set up, would both be OK with the standard master cylinder.
