Hi all

Friend of mine has recently purchased a blob wrx impreza with a brembo brake conversion all round
Tit has the gold rear 2 pots however the hand brakes seems to have too much travel......

I have read some where they do require a thicker hand brake shoe ?

Is this still the case as I've not been around the impreza scene for a while.

Any advice is welcome..

Yes, Ian now does STi disacs for the rears with a steel insert in them to bring them closer.

BUT: If the wrong handbrake shoe/discs combination were in use, I don't think the handbrake would work AT ALL.

If you search on here under Ian Godney you should find a post or two where he has shown how to adjust handbrakes...perhaps they just weren't done? it's not that easy, though it IS fairly simple.

Edited to say: got a set of the thicker ones available with little use, as I've just swapped my discs and gone back to the smaller handbrake shoes.
