Brakes Grinding
I have noticed today a kind of grinding sound that appears to be coming from my front brakes
I have a 99 turbo 2000 and had new discs about 18 months ago and brake pads 5 months ago. Any ideas? Also, at one point today, it felt like the car was dragging a little

Common problem with these calipers is the chrome comes off the pistons and goes rusty then seize up , if you car is dragging it sounds like this has happened to yours , when the brakes stick on it will wear the pads down quite quickly , which is probably whats causing the grinding noise

Thanks for the reply. That was what I was thinking it might be after reading some posts on here. Will I have to do all callipers or just the one thats sticking? And do you know the best place to get them?

A lip on the disc can cause some grinding as the pads are getting low , as the lip of the disc will scrape on the pad backplate , it wouldn't cause dragging issues though.

Ahhh well feel free not to answer if my being female and wanting to sory my own car offends you!!! And having read through some other posts on here, I definitely aren't the only onr who asks seemingly obvious questions....sojust press next boys
(Usually sold as a one-man kit).If you NEED to bleed, do them all. Google "Brake bleeding" it will come up with you-tube videos on how to.
Someone on here will tell you which wheel in which order on a Scoob. It takes time jacking and wheel removing, mind......
Thanks for that
Managed to change my front discs a couple of years ago and didn't bleed all four, Im now wondering if that's what's caused me some of the problems because my abs has been a bit temperamental. Read something yesterday about the not bleeding classics properly can cause problems with the abs
