Group N discs
Hi
Ive just seen these
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Imp...item5d308564fe
Whats the difference between Group N and regular after market discs?
These with right pads, braided lines and a stopper would be a good set up for 16" wheels?
Cheers

Take a look here for some discs of that size on clearance at a silly price: https://www.scoobynet.com/car-parts-...clearance.html

All Group N means is a class of car in rallying or racing , they are basically standard cars , everything had to be at factory tollerances , they are calling it a group N disc as its standard , by saying its got grey iron in its content is nothing special as all discs have !
Just prey you don't get the disc in the photo as that is a SAAB rear disc !
Cheers Ian

as Ian states its a little bit of a marketing speel..........
certainly back when you had to run factory calipers and OE size discs as per the homologation car (pad/disc material was free) then we would use a High Carbon Steel content disc as these were more resilient to temp and offered a better friction base for the pads.........
alyn
p.s. these days grpN cars have a dispensation to run homologated Race type brakes from the likes of AP Racing (Subaru), Brembo (Mitsubishi), etc. depending on the manufacturer
