Question

Okay, I give up. I've changed the rear pads on the other half's GT TDi - front discs & pads replaced recently so haven't touched them. I then replaced the fluid and can't get the same pedal feel as we had before. I've bled them about half a dozen times but makes no odds. When sitting stationary, engine running and pumping the pedal it feels fine, then pressing hard on the pedal and I can feel the pedal starting to move slowly towards the floor. It does go solid eventually but it certainly feels like theres air in the system. I bled the system from the caliper closest to the master cylinder then outwards from there but never reall got any air out. I used the half full glass of fluid to make sure no air got back into the system.
Anyone have any ideas - I'm on the verge of sticking it into the garage - I've bled loads of cars before but this ones got me baffled, do MK4 golfs have a different hydraulic set-up ?, should the system be bled diagonally.

Kevin.
