Default New brakes

Is it possible to identify the type / size of brake pad without removing the calipers i.e off the strength of these photos?

Am looking at replacing the (what I'm fairly sure are) standard discs and pads with Black Diamond items from Scoobyparts:-

http://www.scoobyparts.com/acatalog/...S_-_FRONT.html
http://www.scoobyparts.com/acatalog/...RAKE_PADS.html

But want to make sure I am getting the right pads for the car - a MY00 UK turbo. Discs are easily identified - 295mm ventilated at the front, 266mm ventilated at the back.

We have some good offers discs and pads at the moment , front and rear grooved discs and kevlar sport pads for £179.50 and £15 for delivery

That seems a much improved price, Ian - thanks for the info. The engine is still standard and I'm not chasing power figures so the next step up from standard is exactly what I am looking for.

Just to clarify the disc and pad price, I'm reading that as £179.50 for the fronts and £179.50 for the rears - is that right?

Disc dimensions are correct.

Also worth considering these on our winter sale at just £129.99 for the complete set: https://www.scoobynet.com/trader-ann...-packages.html

We can also match any like for like offers , but for £129.99 you will only get plain discs same as we offer , for £25 more a pair you get grooved discs with black painted centres so as well as working better they also stay looking nicer through the wheels as the centres won't go rusty.
For an extra £25 a pair its a no brainer !

You had me at £179.50 haha. I quite like the black centres, and all the better if they are more rust resistant. I'll be having a look through your site tomorrow to place the order.

What's your delivery lead time, bearing in mind it's now well within the run up to Christmas?

As a member on here you will get a better deal than on our website , so just ring us when you're ready to order and we can take it over the phone.

We have everything in stock for a next working day delivery , so if you ordered them tomorrow you would get them on monday , but for an extra tenner we can get them to you on a saturday delivery

Cheers Ian

Well, the order has been placed with Godspeed, and I've already had a text message confirming the delivery date and re-delivery options should I require them.

If you're reading this, Ian - many thanks for going out of your way to assist in this thread and the subsequent over-the-phone service.

Update: brakes delivered on Monday, everything is in order.

I now have everything I need; over Christmas the plan is to:-
Replace the brake discs and pads
Repaint the calipers
Mount the kaylan mudflaps (second attempt)

Hopefully it will get a little warmer before I do it - it was -4 around here last night...
