Hi i'm looking to put some 5mm spacers on my classic as since i have had my alloys balanced my calipers are tapping on the new weights
i'm just looking for some advise to whether this is a good idea to fit 5mm spacers

Get them to move the weights on your wheels , I have to get this done on the rally car as the brakes fill the wheels right out , if not see if one of your rear wheels would clear

outer weight are clipped onto the outside edge of the rim , and just look a bit unsightly , if it was me I'd rather do this than run a 5mm spacer , if you do run a spacer that size then the wheel will not locate on the centre of the hub , and will just be running on the studs , I have run rally cars like this before with no problems but its not ideal , if I was going to run spacers at all , i'd look at running the thinnest hubcentric spacers I could get , so at least its held on the spiggot then .
