Hi all

I have been offered a set of the black brembo callipers from a brand new Sti saloon and have been told they have a slightly larger piston within them compared to the gold Brembo's found on the new age cars

My question is does anybody have any information on them? Is the larger piston bit true?

Anybody run them? Are they better than the gold counterparts that I'm currently running and from that is it worth the upgrade?

The sale of my gold brembos will cover the cost before people try to get me to spend more money and point me in the AP route , I don't do track days so not wanting to upgrade because I have too, and not really wanting to spend the extra money at this time on a better setup, I find the set up works well on there at the moment with CL pads and soon to be new godspeed disc setup (previous experience with them on my last one) but wouldn't mind having that little extra if needed with no cost to upgrade which is always a bonus so can anybody give me any info on them?

Sorry yes to make it clearer , as I was talking about just the fronts , although the hatchback rear black Brembo calipers also have the same size pistons , and uses the same pad as the Gold brembos , the caliper bodies are different on the black caliper to the gold calipers and are not interchangable , only the front are
