Default Brake judder

I am running red stuff pads on 4 pots for the daily driver, which have given much better bite and feel than standard. The discs were skimmed for the new pads, but a year on I am getting an increasingly bad judder from the fronts upon breaking from about 45mph downwards. Above this speed there is no judder; it builds through the break pedal, and then into the steering wheel and dash also.
Any ideas much appreciated, Thanks

When cold on short school run today, under 40, no judder at all. 3hr roadtrip yesterday = horrendous judder. Anyone got any thoughts? Cheers

sounds most likely to be pad drop out, or possibly a sticky caliper that only shows up when hot........

Thanks Stockcar. There is no pulling to one side, so I`m not sure about sticking calipers. What is pad drop out ? I had a diagnosis of warped discs at a local garage, but the car is used on local runs by the wife mostly; I really don`t think either of us has ragged the brakes.
