newbie brake advice

Default newbie brake advice

my 01 uk wagon recently got an advisory from the mot for the front discs being shagged(nearly)so i was conisdering upgrading the discs,i dont want to go mad just somehting better than the standard set-up what would you guys recomend? ive a budget of around £250

I've got ebc plain discs(some of the guys have the grooved type) and mintex 1144 pads. Great combination. Price around £230 for both.
