Default squeaky brakes!!

Anybody else suffered from squeaky brakes?! I had new discs & pads fitted about 6 weeks ago, & ever since the brakes have made an extremely annoying squeak at low speeds/light application - like when in car parks, drive thru's etc.

Its driving me mad! Any solutions out there? Copper grease? I could go back to the garage (main dealer) but its a real hassle getting the car dropped off then collected after work.

Anyone got any suggestions?!

Have a look if the dust shield is touching the disc, that will cause a squeak

What pads are you using? Some pads such as Mintex 1155 always squeak when cold or used round town

if they haven't been cleaned out or fitted correctly then this also causes potential noise issues........

On my blob Wrx i fitted minex 1144 pads which squeaked aswell within a week of fitting? I didn't scrimp on copper grease, but i think its a vibration from the metal shims which were on the original pads. There was a extra half shim aswell with i removed as there was only 3 of them for some reason?. Solution might be to remove metal shim and use sticky pads which came with pads perhaps?
