Godspeed brakes. He is a user here with many years experience. He does an exchange refurb service. Although, someone is going to ask why you don't go to 4 pots, so it may aswell be me.

Me too: First thing I did with my car was ditch the old 2-pot brakes and fit some 4-pot ones.

But you DO need to go 16's at least.

it is on 16inch wheels already didnt realise i could fit 4 pot callipers to it. what do i need to do to fit 4 pot callipers? is it as simple as finding some 4 pots and new discs and fitting to the existing caliper mountings? next question is obviously going to be where can i get some 4 pot calipers from

There are no caliper brackets on 4-pots as it's not a sliding caliper.

It's an extremely straightforward swap - unbolt and remove the caliper together with its bracket, remove the disc, install replacement discs and calipers (as well as pads, pins, etc).

It is really as easy as that, but, unless the new 4-pots have been refurbished lately, you can save yourself some time and grief by doing it BEFORE fitting.

Either buy a kit from Godspeed, or have Ian do it for you.
Stainless pistons are the way forward.
