Car 97 UK turbo)
Someone else must of experienced this aswell. When buying handbrake shoes the only ones listed (shu613)are different to the ones fitted in a way that there is no threaded rod fixed to the bottom of the shoe(only one shoe per side)this threared rod is what the handbrake adjuster screws onto and with all shoes listed not having this ro ad on there's no way of attaching the adjuster to the bottom of the shoe. help please guys someone must of come across thi all replys much appreciated

Hi mate,
haven't had this problem myself,
according to my system the shoes listed for a 97 turbo are either
SHU 613 (as stated)

or
SHU708
DIAGRAM


shu 613 Size: 170.0 x 32
shu708 Size: 170.0 x 32

There are no bolts that I can think of ??

Here is a pic of a EVO rear hub which are near identical to the Impreza , which parts are you talking about ??

Hi
The threaded part on your old shoes is just rusted onto it , it will come off , you can then screw it back into the adjuster and then fit your new handbrake shoes
