Uneven rear brake wear

Uneven rear brake wear
Hi all
Ive just realised that my rear brakes are shot again. Ive only had 4,000 miles out of them. However the passenger side has completely worn out yet the driver side still has 3/4 of the pad on it still.
Am i right in thinking that my passenger side caliper is stuck or a bit sticky hence why the pads are wearing out so quickly??
Cheers all

Yes mate would have said either the piston is sticking causing constant wear or your sliders are seized.
Dont you get any feed back through the steering wheel or on the peddal?? Would have though if it was binding on then you would almost certainly get some shake through the wheel and something through the break peddal?
Are both the inner and outer pads worn the same within the n/s caliper?

Yes sounds like the rear calipers are sticking , either the pistons or sliders .
You would get no feedback through the steering wheel if a rear brake is playing up , if it overheated the rear disc and warped them you would get feedback via a pulsating brake pedal.
You need to strip the calipers down to sort out the sticking issues and then fit new pads.

you need to strip the caliper , remove the piston , clean the bore of the calipers with WD40 and some emery cloth / scouring pad , as long as the piston isn't rusty , you can clean that up with WD40 and a scouring pad , thoroughly clean out the caliper , wipe the seals down and refit it all ,
If you cannot do this , we can sort them out for you
