brake fade & smoking calipers

advice on upgrade from standard brakes on turbo impreza,get lots of brake fade & smoke when braking from 140,ish has just had new standard disc & pads last service any advice welcome its a 97 p uk model thanks

you will probably find they are only 2 pots as found on the early models. My MY97 was the same, look in 4 sale and get some 4 pots, much improved response. IMHO you will only need more than these if your planning a track day....

Its called going too fast on cr@p brakes basically
First thing you need to do is change your discs and pads to something that dont go up in smoke when you put your foot on the brake, along with this you also need to ensure you have DOT 5.1 brake fluid or better in those lines, its more resilliant to the higher temps from the brakes and wont boil as quickly.
Would suggest a brake upgrade if your really worried about it, either a god speed one or something there after (have brembo ones on mine and slows nicely from higher speeds )
