I do powder coating and tbh I'd go paint as I've seen rims fall apart after the heating

Had my PFF7s powder coated without any problems, It's a much tougher finish than painting

Painting would be my choice, and I have 3 reasons.

-Wheel failure after coating is a possibility, and a real one.
-Yes, powdercoating is harder to damage, but when damaged it usually flakes in a larger area around the actual damage.Paint damages more easily, but only in the spot of actual contact.
-Touching up slight damage on a painted wheel is possible, coated wheels are almost always a slightly different color, so that touching up with the correct paint coded paint gives a slightly different result.

Powdercoating is OK,just depends which alloys you are looking powder coat,if you are looking powder coat WRX/STi OE alloys i would say, don't bother with them, they will crack.

I've run few alloys which has been powdercoated without the one problem, car has been tracked and not problem too

I'd just get them painted, the finish is a lot better IMHO. Tends to be a tad cheaper aswell.
