STi - confusion over tyre selection
I have a 10 plate hatch STi and I need a new set of fronts so popped along to my local tyre shop
they struggled to find on their database to find 245/40 zr18 97y
it seemed to be the 97y bit they struggled to match - they seemed to have 95 or 96 which I was told was the load rating or a few 100 load rating
I assume that the y is the speed rating so I should go at least the same or higher (for insurance purposes)
so the question is should I worry about the load rating? I do a bit of towing with my track toy
Oh and if anyone can recommend a good road tyre for everyday use that would be spot on

Can't get higher then a Y rated tyre for speed but the load index shouldn't be bad at 95/96.
But for peace of mind then:

they are in stock and should get them in a few days - my local tyre shop will fit them for a tenner each
