I just aquired a very good pair of Subaru 4-pots, and they have an almost new set of Akebono pads in them, they actually look very original, looks like the first time they have been apart.

What's the opinions on these pads?
I only do fast road use in my Legacy GTB.

Akebono are OEM suppliers to Subaru and other car manufacturers.
A run of the mill everyday pad I would suspect.

They do supply Mclaren F1.....................

Anyone had a car form new who remembers what the brakes were like originally?

I had mine from new and the brakes were reasonable. I changed to Mintex 1155 which were a lot better. Just use them and see how you go.
