I was chatting with a friend of mine the other day who build drag monsters and a few track cars, and he was saying how the last few Subarus that had been in for brake upgrades, he had recommended to them to use these pads.

Since fitting them to his own type r he said that they could even give my Ap 330mm braking a bit of competition and that my ds2500's were no match for them.

I am wondering i anyone has tried these and what they thought?

I also need to change my rear pads and disks so am thinking of a caliper upgrade and then these bluestuff pads to see how good they really are.

My plan is to use the car when I can during the week for fun and maybe a couple of track days a year also.

Any advice on this is much appreciated.

I went from DS2500 to Bluestuff, give me the DS2500 any day.

 

I'm totally the opposite!
I to went from DS2500 to Bluestuff NDX and the difference was noticable instantly. Better cold response and better retardation from a given pedal load.
I now have a set of DS 2500's for sale with 9-9.5mm (almost unworn) for Brembo's. They went on with new discs so are worn parallel and no ridges.
Absolute bargain for someone!

On a big power classic. Driven that hard that the brake fluid cooks.
DS2500 broke down and left pad deposits on the discs. EBC Blues havent.
For me EBC Blues were a step up.

They now do orange which is supposed to be good

 

I find them great for the road, but not quite up to trackdays.

 

Not very good on track.
