Default Max Wheel Width on a Classic?

What sort of wheel width would you be able to get on a classic without modifying the arches. I was wondering can you go to 8" easy bolt on no probs or do you need camber bolts to make it work?

Cheers M444GY sorry I meant 8" x 18" you think that's still achievable?

Jeez, that will destroy the ride and upset the handling.

you think an extra .5 of an inch an some slight camber over what I have now will make things that bad?

I wouldn't want to put more than 7.5" on a classic without some serious modifications to the geometry.

I've had 215/45/17 on my classic and scuffed the arches with people in the back.

Currently i'm running 7.5 X 18 without rolled arches, i think i'll be able to get 8 X 18 on with either the same ET of 48 or with ET 45 if not ET 48.

Won't be achievable with OEM shocks and springs thought i don't believe and you won't be able to slam it if it works, 25mm lower should be fine with a good stiff set up, 25mm is all you need before you ruin the geometry angles though.

A Whiteline BSK may allow you to lower the car more but i think it would rub.

I plan on getting 8 X 18 eventually, but my car is my track car project, on the road i'm not a huge fan of the hard ride the suspension, bushes, wheels and tyres make, damagings my allows is my biggest issue though.

Thanks
