I have a 1998 turbo 2000 impreza, ive recently found my abs light had no bulb in , since replacing it it doesnt seem to go off. I have changed one of the calipers due to a hole in it and bled the brakes which hasnt cured it, ive tried getting the fault codes to come up but its not throwing any squences any ideas of other potential causes??

Obviously an problem the previous owner couldn't solve hence the bulb been removed. Does the ABS trigger under heavy braking?

i havent really tried to be honest, ive had it off the road for the past month as it was an MOT failure. Ive read read on other posts dirt on the sensors could cause it, but would that throw a fault code up?

Yes but you'd also feel it constantly engauging, could be any of the sensors or rings, failed pump etc

found it at last, the tip of one of the sensors has sheared off :\

just to clarify if you were chacking the diagnostics thro the CEL light then it wont show any ABS faults........
