Correct Size For 16" Rims
#1
I have 16" speedlines fitted with 225/45R16 tyres (fitted by previous owner). Am I upsetting the handling of the car by not using the more conventional size 205/50R16 or does it not really make a difference?
any thoughts appreciated!

slightly re-phrased question:
when it comes time to replace my tyres should I go for 225/45R16 currently fitted or should I revert to the factory standard 205/50R16.
any helpful comments appreciated.

In rolling radius terms, your tyres are nominally within 0.4% of 205/50x16. But with 225 width, you should really be fitting to wider than 7in rims. So you'll probably be better off replacing with 205/50x16 on standard wheels.
