I wanted some DS2500 pads but can't find anyone who can get them, so I bought the 3000s. They are great pads but I find they squeal worse than that guy in Deliverance. Anyone got experience of them (I think you've got them Mellow) and do they find they squeal? Can anyone recommend a similar pad to either the 2500 or 3000 (eg Pagid, Mintex) as I like the way they perform.

DS3000 are the daddy of all pads for sure and I have used them on track...immediate bite..no fade etc...however, they are not kind to your alloys can eventually destroy your discs prematurely...I'd suggest keeping them for track use/emergency spares as I now do.
I always run DS2500 front and rears but on the very odd occassions I can't get hold of any I've opted for Mintex 1155's....
I'm sure other peeps on here will advice accordingly.

Ta for that. Yep, they are great pads. I've had them on for 4000 miles. Applied 3 coats of polish to the wheels before using them and they seem to be OK, but they are very dusty. Disc wear is fine, haven't killed them yet. Just looking for alternatives for road use and no-one seems to have the DS2500 for my car (needs pad type CP590).
PS, can I have a lap with you? Swap you for a ride in the Skoda!

I'm on my second set...last ages for road use, after 1 year, only half way down, but I think designed for track use really as Mellow says.
squeal really bad, just have to clean wheels 3-4 times per week.
can catch you out on the road if not warmed up properly
I havn't been on track yet but I gave them some pretty severe testing on a private road.....no fade at all.
