Spongy Brakes???
Hi, this is a question about my old ladys impreza.
It is the Sport version which we have owned for the last 11 yrs, 152k.
I changed the rear shoes (yep i did say shoes) about 2 1/2 years ago, It has had spongy brakes on and off ever since.
The front calipers were both changed around 4 years ago, and the rear o/s slave cyl earlier ths year.
Oh forgot to mention changed the master cyl last year.
I have tried several times to bleed the system, no obvious leaks anywhere.
Usually a quick pump and the pedal is nice and hard again for a short time.
Is it possible that the rear shoes have not adjusted up to the drums ( tried several times to adjust these, wheels off the deck etc) or is it the hill holder?
just stumped where to go next.
