Brake fluid amount
Hi folks,How much brake fluid will I need for a 97 WRX wagon?
Also DOT 4 or 5.1? for normal road use,standard system.
Think its long overdue a change.Thanks in advance

all depends on how "effeciently" you fill/bleed it thro'...........
as a general rule you will use approx 1.5ltrs but it can be done with around a litre (i have known people use 2-3ltrs!!)
as for fluid if its a std road car in reasonable use then a good quality dot4 will do everything you ever need, if you push on a bit more then a similiar quality dot5.1 will give a little headroom - bear in mind that if you use cheap fluid then you can actually have a dot5.1 performing worse than a beter dot4
