I think if there a et38 they will stick out 10mm more there factory alloys which are et48. By adding a spacer you will be reducing the et . So say you put a 10mm spacer on your new wheels they will then be et28. The lower the et the more they stick out. Hope that helped

You should be fine with a et38. I've got like et28 and have no problems with it lowered to. Don't stick out to much either. Try em and see.

The centre bore for the hub will be different... and ET only makes sense for a quoted rim width.

dunx

E.G. ET 38 and a 9" rim isn't going to fit without huge arches, but a 7" rim would easily...IYSWIM

P.S. I have 8" rims at an ET of 44mm on my Newage...

Hi

The stud pattern for the Golf is the same as the Impreza but as someone said, the hub size will be different. If the wheels are Dotz you would just need to buy a new set of spiggot rings (£20.00) and some new nuts (£28.00). The only problem will be the offset, f the wheels are an ET38, even if they are as narrow as 7.0x17" they will probably foul the arches on a standard arched Classic Impreza. Spacers would not help you, again as someone mentioned they will push the wheels further out.
