Default K sport 356mm big break kit

Preparing to fit my k sport front and rear kit, would like some advice on the dust guards.
Due to the size of the discs unsure weather to remove the dust covers front and rear or just leave
them in please and grind back the lip.
Any help or advice form any one that might have done this already

Thanks Ken.

I'll say my 2p worth.

On my old uk car when fitting brembo's up front I removed them, All was good until it rained and the car was travelling on roads that didn't require alot of braking, ie motorway driving or dual carriageway, I would have to dab the brakes first in order to clean the discs or they wouldn't work as well as they did in dry conditions. whether it was water or road grime I don't know.

Current car had them trimmed when the 6 pots were put on the front by the previous owner and I had them trimmed when I had the brembos fitted to the rear. No problems at all

Thanks Dannyboy007 just what I was thinking leaving the covers on just trim the edge off so as my new big brakes don’t fail the cover.

I got a screw driver and just hammered the welds off, they broke real easy. Then i bent the handbrake plate so the bracket would fit, but this messed the handbrake up as the plate was crooked and the shoes were sitting poorly, so i bent it back as well as i could and got an angle grinder and cut a chunk out and made it all neat.

Hammered and bent:

Angle grinder:

I hope this helps.

Thanks
Sam
