Hi, can anyone give me a brief guide on how to unseize the pistons on brake calipers? Thanks

release the caliper and put some lube down the protective dust cover surrounding the piston and then get a friend to pump the foot pedal while you watch and wait for the piston the come out and push it back in,repeat the process as many times as it takes for the piston to feel like its returning into the caliper nice and freely mate
ps don't let the piston come out to far and come out of the caliper

That will be a temporary fix , but you will find that the pistons will be rusted and pitted , and the inside lip of the bores will be rusty , to do it properly the calipers need to come apart.

I can supply you new stainless steel pistons and seals for £125 inc VAT , or fully reconditioned calipers any colour you want on exchange for £235 a pair inc VAT.

How much could you do a full set of reconditioned calipers for - front 4 pots, rear 2 pots?

Or alternatively if I could post my front 4 pots to you how much would you charge for a reconditioning?

Thanks

Hi
If you send your fronts in its £235 plus delivery back , if we send a pair out on exchange for you to send your old ones back after changing them we would require a refundable deposit of £125.

If you send us your front and rear calipers , we charge £350 inc vat , and this includes delivery back to you

Cheers Ian
