Will STI alloys fit my WRX ?
Hi folks,
I have a 2004 WRX running on standard suspension and the standard 17" wheels. I am looking for a new set of wheels ( I want to stick with 17" )and have been offered some STI alloys. I know the issue of the PCD changing after a certain year, and the alloys I am looking at are a PCD of 5 x 100 but the alloys are fitted with 225/45/17 - does anybody know whether these will fit, or are they likely to rub. Sorry if this is a stupied question. My current tyres are 215 and I know it's only 10mm but I just wanted to check.
Thanks for any help or advice,
Paul.

I would think you will be fine mate is the PCD is correct.
They did it on wheeler dealers ok, plenty of others do it too!

I have 2005 WRX (5x100 PCD) & just fitted 2002 Sti alloys 17x7.5 with 225/45R17 ad they fit perfectly fill arches slightly better as well and plenty of spacing for big brakes
Also speedo error is less with these than if you went with 225/40R18 about 1.3%
but my speedo seems more accurate now when on 30 marker line sat nav and roadside speed signs say i'm doing 30 before it was 31/32
