Question

My current tyres (16") are coming to the end of their life and I have decided to upgrade to 17" wheels & tyres.

Does anyone know where I can obtain a set of gold PRODRIVE PD7 wheels (and 215/40 S03 tyres) at the cheapest possible price?

Any help would be most appreciated...

Scoobymania do the wheels for £175 each - not sure about tyres though,

You could try a local Subaru dealer who will give 10% discount to SIDC members ?
From memory, I paid just over £600 for the four.

Coogie, I found some PD7s which I was about to buy before I got an even better offer on a set of P1 wheels.

Cluffy was first, but I'll post details tomorrow (I mean later this morning) and may the best man win

Cheers,

Richard.

Mark at Tyres Northampton (01604-588599) has three anthracite PD7s that were slightly marked by a junior tyre fitter - not sure if he's still alive - and the customer refused them. Fourth wheel was okay.

I've not seen the wheels and Mark needs to check with a colleague on the price, but it's got to be well less than £175.

Otherwise, PD7s are only officially available from Subaru dealers. Mine offered me 10% ScoobyNet discount! (I think he meant SIDC.)

Cheers,

Richard.

Unhappy

Thanks for all the replies and help - most appreciated. The cheapest place was indeed Subaru Dealers (-10% with SIDC). However, I have jumped the gun somewhat because I didn't check with my insurance company before posting the original mail. They require an additional £270 if I upgrade my wheels to 17" PD7 which I am not prepared to pay. I have decided to get new tyres for my original 16" wheels and wait until unsurance renewal time (9 months away) to look for more sympathetic insurers.

One again, thanks for all the replies - Ray (cluffy)
