OK I know the rears only get used 30% in comparison...but....on the P1 is there an aftermarket grooved disc that will not only give better performance but will look better also ?

If there were a complete brake set up for the rears ie; AP's etc....I'd go for them but there doesn't seem to be anything available !!! I'm also happy to lose the ABS if needed

Cheers

I'd like to know this as well
If there isn't, what's the chances of sticking the standard front calipers on the rear?

Godspeed will do a grooved and if you want it drilled rear disc, it's npt on a bell due to the handbrake being inside the disc, but they look pretty cool, JFB has them on his 5dr.

Mellow,

Godspeeds No: 01656 660899

They are based in Bridgend, Wales.

I've not used them (yet!), so got no knowledge on how good their technical ability is, but speaking to Ian on email he seems a really nice bloke....

Mellow, I've been on to Godspeed about rear discs.

They do them for £145 a pair, plus £10 delivery. Grooved, drilled, or both. Zinc plated so the bell doesn't rust.

I am still trying to establish whether they are vented, and if the grooves are cut or cast. If they're vented I'll have a pair, as this is about half the price of OEM replacements.

Cheers,

Richard.

Hi , Our discs are priced , £125 a pair of solid discs , and £145 a pair for vented ones , delivery is £10 , this is for drilled , grooved or grooved and drilled , all one price

Hoppy , the grooves are milled into the discs , I think all grooved discs have them this way .

Cheers Ian

Not too mechanically minded, but if you got AP brakes on the front, couldn't you move the original front setup to the back?

Chrisl, what fronts have you got?

I must admit having seen JFB's rears (discs that is!) I am sorely tempted, as I only have the fronts done, so will be interested to see what they look like on yours.

Wink

Thanks Ron & Matt. Here's what they're talkin' about chaps

I'm biased but really like them and they are nearly a year old now and still do the bizz and look the bizz IMHO. Hope this helps in your deliberations.
