Pagid fast road pads noisy? Mine are. Normal?
#1
I recently fitted new standard disks with Pagid fast road pads on a 2 pot set up. What I have noticed when the brakes are warm and you are braking hard I get a graunching sound and sensation through the pedal. Is this a charateristic of the pads as they are fast road?
I have rechecked the calipers and disks to make sure everything is done up ok and nothing is touching and everything looks fine.
Could it be a wheel bearing is starting to deteriorate?
Replys would be much appreciated as I am a bit concerned that something is broken.

Am still bedding in my AP6 pots which came with Pagid RS421'S as standard. No noise so far (squealing etc). very impressed with the pads as it seems the special blue plastic backing that comes on them eliminates the need for copper-slip and stops squealing. dont think its the pads, maybe the fitment.
Hope you get it sorted

Theres nothing wrong with the fitment as they only go on one way and it all locks in. I was wondering if the pads were noisy when breaking hard. They dont squeal but make a graunching noise which only occurs when its slowing down the last bit, ie braking at 70 mph you dont notice it. It only seems to happen when the final bit of speed comes down to 0. It occurs from about 15mph to 0 if you give the brake pedal a final hard push to stop.
