Space Saver - Stupid Question
About to put 18" wheels on my car, presumably the space saver wheel is still OK to use as a spare as I assume it's not a 17" anyway?

You are correct. Think the space saver is something like an 85 profile. As long as you use the correct aspect ratio, you will be fine ie 40 on a Newage, 35 Classic on 18" rim
