Default Hand brake warning light

Hi all - not sure if this is an electrical or brake Q so here goes.

I have a 96 WRX and the handbrake warning light comes on of its own accord. Is it just a warning light for the handbrake or for another brake warning as well? If its just for the handbrake I guess I have a sticky/dodgy switch on the handbrake if not there could be something else amiss?

Is warning light switch located somewhere around the handbrake in the cabin or under the car?

Thanks

it also doubles as the fluid warning light, would assume you have either limited fluid in the brake resevoir or the float is sticky...............

Ahh thats what I was wondering - there is plenty of fluid and it came on this evening as I went down a hill and turned right, I will check the float and see if it is sticking
