Best All round tyre
Hello,
Am looking for a tyre with good wet and dry performance that will serve me well for fast road and occasional track use. (Note that car is only used at weekends so tyre wear is not a big factor)
Am running 18" on a Hawkeye with front / rear arbs, alk etc and full set up carried out by Chevron Motorsport
Am currently using Falken 452's but the Yokohama Advan AD08 has been recommended to me by the guys at Chevron.
Cheers.

I would have thought the Advan's are more a dry track/road tyre. Not suited for "good wet" performance you have mentioned. I have Vredestein Sessantas on my 18" rims which I think are superb, many many good reviews BUT of course depends on what you wish to spend. I have also used the Goodyear Asymmetrics and they were good.
Am currently on my old 17" rims and Nokia winters though! LOL.
I can see the Advans being awesome in the dry and summer though. Even if I was a manic driver most of the time I personally would not have the race tyres unless on a spare set of wheels. That of course imho.

The Yokohama Advan AD08 are suppose to be ok in the wet. Just not loads of standing water!
I'm either looking at getting the Yokohama Advan AD08 or the Hankook RS-2, which is suppose to be better in the wet than the Yoko....slightly cheaper too.
