Brakes -- vibration when slowing from 60ish - help :(
Hi
My new car is an 03 WRX.
Brakes are the 8 pot K-Sports, grooved Diamond disks and Ferodo DS2500 pads all round.
When i'm braking from slow speeds (30ish) they are fine, but if i gradually brake from about 50 - 70 i get a vibration \ juddering through the pedal. If i brake a bit harder the steering wheel vibrates aswell - really noticable. A good quick stamp on the brakes seems ok as the vibration passes quickly( it's still noticable though) --- they seem to stop fine in each scenario.
The car has probably stood for about a week prior to me buying it - on the test drive the brakes were fine and i did some testing no problems. Brakes etc have minimal miles as were fitted November last year. Since the test drive i've done no more than 40 miles 'normal' driving with no big stops etc - but the damn juddering has started
I've read the DS2500 can and does leave deposits on disks -- based on the above would it be worth doing the 60mph to 5mph rolling stops a few times (how many? 10?) to try and heat and clean them up? Would this make it worse?
Any other advice welcomed..not sure what to do or test?
Cheers
