Default Removing calipers - preventing brake fluid loss.

Going to take off and refurb my Brembos so how do I seal up the end of braided hoses. What is the best thing to do, is it to screw in a small bolt with a matching thread and if so does anyone know the size? I'm going to flush and replace the fluid once the calipers are back on but it will be a few days.

If its like the Subaru Four pots/two pot sliders they'll have a banjo bolt connection so you're bolt idea won't work. PM Ian Godney, he'll know

Shouldnt you refill with more brake fluid before using it anyway as you will inevitably lose some oil.

If you wrap the end in PTFE tape this will help prevent fluid loss. You will however need to fully bleed the system once you refit the calipers (usually takes around 1 litre of fluid)

Let me know when you know. I've tried a bolt, nut and washers but fluid still got out. Could try the banjo bolt with a nut and some copper washers?

Thanks
Sam

Yep fluid hasn't been changed for some time so I do intend to bleed the system when the calipers go back on, but won't much more air get into the system if I let fluid levels drop right down?
