Removing front Brembo calipers

Removing front Brembo calipers
I've decided to remove my calipers to paint them up following Frayz's rather good guide https://www.scoobynet.com/wheels-tyr...ing-guide.html Once I undo the banjo bolt I realise some fluid will leak out, but presumably it doesn't then emty the whole cylinder? I understand it best not to clamp the hoses as this can damage them.

If you have the standard rubber hoses then these can be clamped , if you have braided hoses these cannot and shouldn't be clamped , I have made up some blanks to fit onto the end of braided hoses when removing calipers to stop the fluid leaking or dripping out , it will all come out if left open

TBH, unless they HAVE to come off for some reason, I can't see the point in removing them to paint them.
You will end up having to refill and then bleed the brakes.
I have hand-painted calipers before, and HONESTLY, once the wheel is back in place, it's hard to tell the difference, and the bits you can't get at to paint, you can't see anyway. Hammerite Smooth.

Thanks Ian. I have braided hoses on. About to fit your bells and disks by the way but the calipers do look a bit scruffy. Could I improvise something to seal the hoses?

You may have a point. Do you have any pics? But I like the idea of them being like new as they are pitted and stone chipped.
