Default Winter Tyres

Hi guys - looking to get some advice.

A month ago I treated my Hawkeye WRX to 4 new Bridgestone Potenza's as wanted to make sure car was in tip top condition coming up to the cold weather.

Never thought that the climate would get quite so bad, but still thought these 4 newbie tyres would be half decent in the snow/ice - how wrong have I been!!!!! To be fair they were average on the snow but come the sign of any ice and any braking, even slowing down from 10mph and the car is a nightmare & mega dodgy.

Therefore, I'm looking to potentially strip myself of some more cash to try and be as safe as possible ......... I've noticed Nokian WR G2 winter tyres in my local area - are these tyres any good (anyone gtot them/had them before) and would they provide better grip/safety in snow/ice/cold weaher?

Thanks for any replies.

My hawkeye wrx ppp with worn reo50 potenzas was scary in snow and ice.
Bought some Nokian W+ tyres from mytyres at £80 each but have noticed prices have rocketed.
Big difference, car stops well and turns to where you want it to go , well worth investment for our cold winter months
