Default Brake Bleeding Question

I want to take my brake nipples out to have a look at the threads, if i was to use the same method as bleeding the brake calipers, and on pushing the pedal down and holding it like you do before you tighten the nipple up, instead remove the nipple, would this allow me to take the nipple out with minimal air going into the system and a minimal lose of fluid?
The brake pedal is down as far as possible and held down so surely removing the nipple won't cause it to suck air in as by holding the pedal down it is pushing out?

Thanks
