Default Hmm,Do i colour code the 2 pots im about to fit ?

I have Red front 4 pots, but they are like powder coated/baked red, proper job, not just the halfords red paint in a tin.
now,the 2 pots i have recieved were red, halfords caliper paint,so i stripped it all off with nitromors and they are back to their factory black colour.

Do i leave them black,so i have the big red 4 pots at the front with dimpled discs and have the balck calipers with standard discs at the back ?

or colour them red with halfords caliper paint again

choices

i painted mine with paint and the finish looks like it was sprayed! lots of thin coats to build it up! i think it looks better with the calipers the same colour! also buy some proper subaru stickers off ebay and laqure over them!

my results (gash wheelnuts now replaced)

You have done a good job.
I agree the calipers look better painted, but,i currently have standard at the rear, i painted those red to match the fronts but am thinking along the lines, the front are the focus point, big red 4 pots with dimpled/grooved discs and the rears will have standard plain discs with black 2 pot calipers,i currently look at mine (with standard rear calipers painted red) and think it looks a bit, girly, all painted calipers, maybe the focus point only on the fronts will make it look a bit more manly LOL,dunno

A couple of years ago, I replaced the single sliding calipers on the rear of mine with STi Brembos.

They arrived gold, but after cleaning, were Hammerited smooth red, three coats, and new Brembo stickers bought and fitted to match the fronts.

Hammerite is a cheap alternative to proper caliper paint, and does an equal job, IMHO.

I'd paint them if it were me. Look much better matching.
