98 Legacy GT brakes and valves question

I need to put new pads and front rotors on my wife's GT.
What do you guys recommend? I will probably go with OEM rotors but I want some nice street pads.
Do the valves on the 2.5 require adjusting? The boxer-6 in my 911 does so I assume that the boxer in the scooby would too.
