2007 Impeza brake question
Hi Guys, I am a long time contract hirer of Subarus and have decided to bite the bullet and buy my current ride 2007 model last of the ''old'' shape due to my P11 D taxation codes credit crunch and all that etc. My question is this the MOT station qouted the need for the brakes and pads to be replaced when it had its first MOT i had a qoute from them (main dealer)and the qoute was a knats **** under £2k any way i figure i can tackle this myself having had a qoute for roughly £500 for parts any specialist tools required? has anyone tackled it who can give me any tips? anyone suggest any good suppliers of aftermarket/specialist part suppliers? i am reasonably confident around a spanner.
Next question can anyone recomend a good specialist near Chelmsford Essex, are Scooby sport still going and if so are they any good?
Thanks Paul.

When you say 'brakes and pads' do you mean disks and pads?
If your car is a wrx like mine then you should be able to buy those for around £200 the set, more if you want something a bit special. £2k is madness!
Everything is easy to fit yourself - lots of guides and people to help on here should you get stuck.
