Default TYRE PRESURE HELP NEEDED .PLEASE

at present i run toyo t1rs 215/40/17 on a classic 98 sti lowered.on the rear i have 29psi and front 31 psi ive found that they dont seem to grip very well when cornering....although have good tread on them can anyone tell me what presure they should be or do i increess the over all presure to give me more grip...im only using the car for fast road use.thanks.....anyone give me some advice.

for fast road use your about right where you are now, I will guess that you will get a bit of understeer whilst trying to get them warm but that should only last 3>4 minutes driving quickly

thanks for that.is it worth trying 33f 31r. any idea what that will be like.

Its always worth trying different pressures yourself, no matter what other peoples experiences are its always different from car > car and especially driver to driver.

For every day use I run 34fr & 32rr to conserve tyre wear, if I am going for a Sunday morning blast I will drop to 32fr & 30rr. My car is a Hawkeye spec c which is heavier than a classic and I am running with 235/40/18s.

I personally believe its all down to personal preference and what suits you, the pressures you are talking about are all in the right ball park
